Reveal Events Group brought seasonal magic to life at one of Vancouver’s most iconic developments with an overnight holiday décor transformation—including the installation of a 45-foot LED tree, visible to thousands in the downtown core.
Reveal Events Group partnered with The Post—downtown Vancouver’s landmark heritage redevelopment—for a large-scale holiday décor installation that would officially kick off the building’s festive season and light up one of the city’s busiest corners. With over a year of planning, logistics, and coordination, the team transformed both the exterior plaza and the public-facing interior atrium, culminating in the dramatic overnight installation of a 45-foot, 5,000-pound steel LED Christmas tree.
The display launched with a public tree lighting celebration on November 18, 2024, inviting passersby, tenants, and guests to enjoy the outdoor reveal. Additional holiday décor was installed inside The Atrium, offering a continuation of the festive atmosphere for those entering the building throughout the season. From initial planning and permitting to final placement, Reveal Events Group managed the entire process—creating a seamless seasonal experience that captured attention and sparked joy throughout the community.
The Experience
The holiday installation at The Post required careful planning across multiple departments due to the sheer size, scale, and placement of the featured elements. Because the building’s plaza couldn’t support the weight of heavy machinery, a full traffic lane on Homer Street had to be closed to accommodate a street-based crane. Reveal Events Group worked closely with engineers to calculate safe weight loads for both the equipment and the décor itself—ensuring the structure and surfaces remained uncompromised throughout the install.
Installation work was completed overnight to minimize disruption, with the exterior plaza featuring the striking 45-foot steel LED Christmas tree as its centrepiece. Inside, the atrium was filled with elegant holiday elements, including a grand chandelier feature, groupings of suspended lights, and complementary ground-level décor—bringing warmth and visual impact to one of the city’s busiest interiors.
The experience officially launched on November 18 with a public tree lighting event in The Plaza, where visitors gathered to watch the lights come to life and take in the full outdoor display.
